Competition Cams 4798 Crankshaft Socket for all Ford, Buick and Pontiac V8s Details

When slipped on the end of a crankshaft, these specially designed sockets let you use a 1/2 inch drive ratchet or breaker bar to rotate the engine assembly. Our sockets also have the unique feature of a provision to hold our degree wheels or any wheel with a 1 inch or larger center hole. The knurled retaining nut actually sandwiches the degree wheel and holds it in place. This can then be loosened while on the crank snout so that you can turn the degree wheel independent of the engine, which is really handy when finding TDC.
  • For Ford, Buick and Pontiac V8 (Will not fit Buick 455)
  • 1.385 inch ID with 3/16 inch and 1/4 inch Keyways
  • Specially designed 1/2 inch drive socket allows rotation of engine assembly
  • Knurled retaining nut that holds degree wheel in place
  • Can be loosened while on crank snout so that wheel can be turned independent of the engine when finding TDC
